1. Data Collection and Storage

Groups Freezer is designed with "Privacy by Design" principles. The Extension operates entirely locally on your device.

• We do not collect, transmit, share, or sell any of your personal data. All data generated by the Extension, including your saved tabs, URLs, custom notes, tasks, and project history, is saved exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local).
• No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party databases. Everything you save is stored locally on your device, ensuring maximum security.

2. How We Use Your Data

The permissions requested by the Extension are used strictly for its core functionality:

• <all_urls> and scripting: Used solely at the moment you "freeze" a group to extract basic page metadata (such as titles, descriptions, and preview images) to create visual cards for your local dashboard. We do not track your browsing history or inject ads/trackers into the pages you visit.
• tabs and tabGroups: Used to manage, close, and restore your tab groups as requested by you.

3. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use third-party analytics (like Google Analytics) or tracking tools. The only external request made by the Extension is to Google's public Favicon API (https://www.google.com/s2/favicons) to display website icons next to your saved links in the dashboard.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can permanently delete all your data at any time by:

• Deleting groups or clearing the archive directly within the Extension's interface.
• Uninstalling the Extension from your browser, which will automatically wipe its local storage.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
